
Chuck-a-Bucko
Rich Backstory:
This bucko stayed too late at the Buckodome and now he's at risk of missing Ami's stream! Using mysterious silk thread scattered around the world and the power of frozen cookies, help him get back home! Made for the 2025 Bucko game jam.
How To Play:
Click and hold the bucko to swing him around then release to send him flying! Use the space bar to jump at any point, be careful though, you only have a fixed number of grabs and jumps, so keep an eye out for more scattered along the way.
Silk threads give you more grabs and cookies give you more jumps.
Look for bucko cannons, no one knows where they came from but they are perfectly designed to launch buckos on a precise path to sometimes hard to reach areas.
Avoid clouds and bushes as they will decrease the bucko's speed drastically.
Also keep an eye out for birds and hedgehogs as they present immovable objects to the bucko's highly stoppable force and can send him flying away to regions unknown.
pressing the escape key will bring up the menu while in game and you can restart or change volume settings at any time.
The game can be won but don't stress out over trying to beat it, just focus on having fun and seeing how far you can get each time.
Bugs:
There is a bug where sometimes velocity will stop at the wrong time, if this happens just grab the bucko again, it thinks it's grounded.
Seemingly unrelated, sometimes you can't grab the bucko at all, in this case just go back to main menu and load in again, sorry about that.

Aaaa I love this game! It's super addicting to throw the bucko hehe. I kept running into the not being able to grab bug on additional throws so I wasn't able to get to the end but I really want to play some more. If you ever make an infinite distance challenge I will definitely play it!
The graphics are so cool, and it's quite satisfying to swing the bucko around and around lol!
thank you so much! I duplicated the camera and rendered it's output to a render texture then off set it and changed the opacity and I think that really sold the LCD panel look. I had the idea for flinging the bucko after revisting an old Nitrome game called snotput
